Inclusion at HealthWISE
At HealthWISE, inclusivity and diversity are more than principles; they are foundational to our work. We proudly support a culturally safe and welcoming environment through two distinct frameworks: our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Inclusion Framework and our Rainbow Inclusion Framework. Each framework reflects our commitment to health equity, respect and meaningful engagement with our communities.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Inclusion Framework
Our framework supports meaningful engagement and health equity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across our service regions in NSW and QLD. Guided by the HealthWISE board and strategic plan, this initiative aims to:
- Uphold cultural safety within all HealthWISE services.
- Drive the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Employment Strategy.
- Guide respectful, culturally informed community engagement.
Our commitment to these actions is overseen by a dedicated committee, ensuring a supportive environment for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients and partners.
Rainbow Inclusion Framework
The Rainbow Inclusion Framework ensures that HealthWISE is a safe, inclusive environment for both clients and staff of all gender identities and sexual orientations. Through this Framework, we are committed to:
- Providing LGBTQIA+ awareness and inclusivity training for all HealthWISE staff.
- Ensuring a welcoming, affirming experience for clients, partners and team members alike.
- Embedding inclusive language and practices across all interactions and services.
Our commitment to these actions is overseen by a dedicated committee. This framework represents our dedication to creating a supportive, respectful workplace and client environment.
