TechWISE is a free, community-friendly workshop designed to help you build confidence using your smartphone or tablet for everyday health needs.

Whether you’re new to digital technology or just want to learn some helpful tips, this workshop offers practical, hands-on learning to support your wellbeing.

What you’ll learn:

This community session is designed to help you feel confident using your smartphone for everyday health and wellbeing needs – especially telehealth. By the end of this workshop, you’ll know how to:

– Smartphone Basics: Learn how to navigate your device, adjust settings like font size, and connect to Wi-Fi safely.

– Using Zoom for Telehealth: Set up Zoom, join a call, and understand key features like mute, video, and chat. You’ll also get tips for a smooth telehealth appointment.

– Understanding QR Codes: What they are and how to use them in everyday settings like check-ins or scanning info.

– Health-Related Apps: Discover how to book appointments and set reminders using apps like HotDoc, and explore helpful tools like Medicare and Service NSW.

– Calendars & Medication Reminders: Use your device to keep track of appointments and medications with built-in or easy-to-use apps.

– Hands-On Help: Get personal support and answers to your questions from our friendly team during the session.

We’ll also allow time for questions and one-on-one support with your device.
