The Healthy Ageing groups cater for people both in the community and those living in Residential Aged Care Facilities.
The aim of the program/groups is to assist people who have had falls, or are at risk of falling, and to improve strength and balance overall for all participants.
In partnership with HealthWISE, local providers generally organise the groups through advertising/word of mouth. No referral is necessary.
Please contact HealthWISE program coordinators Susanne Kable in Narrabri on 02 6792 5514 or Miranda Wright in Tamworth on 02 6766 1394 for further information.

“Eurah – Medicine Tree” by Rod McIntosh
Created by Kamilaroi Artist Rod McIntosh as a visual representation of wellness, inspired by the HealthWISE Vision of “Healthy Communities”.
HealthWISE acknowledge and honour the Kamilaroi / Gamilaroi / Gomeroi, Ngarabul / Ngoorabul, Bigambul, Anaiwan, Gumbayngirr, Thunggutti / Dunghutti, Yuggera / Ugarapul people as the Traditional Owners of the lands and waterways where HealthWISE services and facilities are located. We would like to pay respect to Elders past, present and emerging; and we would like to extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across Australia.
