October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which provides an opportunity for us all to focus on breast cancer and its impact on those affected by the disease in our community.
While breast cancer is still the most common cancer in women in Australia (excluding non-melanoma skin cancer), survival rates continue to improve, with 89 out of every 100 women diagnosed with invasive breast cancer now living for five years or more after diagnosis.
Prevention is the best solution; come along to one of our Breast Screen morning teas, enjoy a complimentary morning tea, and chat about the importance of health screening for women.
We can also help you make your free mammogram appointment!
