How Can a Speech Pathologist Help?
We work with families, teachers, and carers to support children with speech therapy. Speech difficulties may be caused by things like developmental delays, learning disabilities, brain injuries, hearing loss, or conditions like cerebral palsy.
If you’re concerned about your child’s speech milestones, or preparing your child for school, contact us regarding therapy.
How to Access Our Services
You can talk to your GP for a referral or contact us directly to book an appointment. Telehealth is available for some areas. We support self-managed and plan-managed NDIS participants. Contact us to see if you qualify.
Call 02 6766 1394 to book.
Fees and Payment
Your appointment may be free if you identify as a low-income earner or hold a pension/health care card.
For others consultation fees may apply, and you could be eligible for a rebate through Medicare or your private health insurance.
We accept payment via EFTPOS (no cash or cheques).
We offer short blocks of therapy to help prepare your child for school or if you’re concerned about their speech milestones.
Sounds good to me Course
Sounds good to me is a training program for early childhood educators and teachers working with children aged 3 – 6 years, to support children’s learning, literacy skills and preparation for school.
The program, developed by HealthWISE, aims to support educators and teachers in promoting and teaching phonological awareness skills in early childhood and school settings.
