HealthWISE funding bodies

HealthWISE is funded by the Hunter New England and Central Coast Primary Health Network (HNECCPHN) to deliver allied health, primary health care nurses, mental health, and Aboriginal health services across the region. Integrated Team Care is funded across the NENW in partnership with Armajun Aboriginal Health Service, Pius X Aboriginal Corporation and Walhallow Aboriginal Health Services. Suicide prevention AfterCare is supported by the NSW Ministry of Health funding. The Department of Health funds our Indigenous Australian Health Program. In addition, visiting medical specialist services are delivered through funding from the NSW Rural Doctors Network to improve local community access.
HealthWISE saw continued expansion during 2019 of our mental health services in Queensland and we were pleased to open an office in Ipswich in August, 2019. Targeted Psychological therapies and Interventions for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People, as well as the Mental Health Nurse Stepped Care and Lived Experience Support Worker service were commissioned by the Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN (DDWMPHN). As a result, HealthWISE now provides mental health services across the Ipswich, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, Somerset, Southern Downs and South Burnett LGAs. November saw the opening of a new HealthWISE office in Glen Innes to provide more mental health services, especially in the area of aged care. As of September 2019, we provide Integrated Team Care in Goondiwindi LGA via a Care Coodinator and Health Worker with funding from DDWMPHN.
